January 2019 – after Iceland

Black History Month presser earlier today. Media got a look at what’s planned for the city in February. Here Model Beverlyn Asante wears a golden coloured headdress by Dawn Grant in a mini-fashion show inside A Different Booklist. Golden headgear is styled after a black woman’s hair, designer Grant calls i outfit Three Sisters.

HOW OLD IS YOUR HOME? Had some much needed work done on our kitchen. Taking down the ceiling found that the builders had used scrunched up pages from the Toronto Daily Star for insulation. December 6, 1924. That makes the house at least 95-years old. Unwound one page, Scotch Taped away and then read the paper for their 2 cents worth take on Toronto. Same old, same old.

Shoes off please. Toronto International Boat Show doesn’t want salt covered shoes making it onto the decks of new million dollar boats

Pete the pirate. Told me he couldn’t afford the boats but happily bought this buccaneer hat at the Toronto International Boat Show for $5.
